THE ST.PETER'S AND ST.PAUL'S ORTHODOX CHURCH, KOYAMBEDU

I feel sad that we lost a lot of greenery with the last cyclone that went by in 2016. The church also took a huge brunt during the 2015 floods in Chennai.

But still, the grace remains.

VELANKANNI - ANOTHER TIME

I like tower lights. They give a different perspective to the photograph when we shoot a distant structure while they stand tall close by.

A BLISS OF IVORY THROUGH THE GREENERY

You will spot this beautiful edifice on the Nungambakkam High Road in Chennai. But, you have to take time, stand near the gate and view through the trees, to get this feel :)

The best thing is the feel, that angels are really around the church. Spot them there with their wings up? And also the beautiful glass painting of the Lord in the centre.

THE LOYOLA COLLEGE CHURCH

A dash of tree green and a mix of bluish white clouds give the church steeple a great appearance. I wish that ladder was never there.

THE NIRANAM ORTHODOX CHURCH

You should ensure that you don't miss this piece of still water below. I liked the green plankton coverage over the water and the trees lining up the water on both sides. I wish I took a boat and slowly went down that bend right at the far end. But I did not see any boat this time. May be I will do it next time.

THE KOODARAM CHURCH

If you ever get a chance to drive down from Tiruvalla through Pathanamthatta in Kerala, you will never miss this church. It is an miracle of architecture, so well made and pristine.

I believe its a miracle because not many things happen in a construction, because the builder planned it that way....when u see the altar above..the light shines through..its gives a holy presence...besides natural lights beaming in are well managed...there is a very optimum usage of wood and tiles very much with the tradition of Kerala...and though the tiles have aged...there is a beauty in the fading too.

THE CHURCH AT MANARCAD, KOTTAYAM

What I like best about this shot are the few pigeons that have come as part of this picture, on either side of the cross. I never noticed this while I was taking this picture.

INTERIOR DESIGN @ THE SANTHOME BASILICA AT CHENNAI, INDIA

Some great woodwork on the roof of this church really left me standing. The interiors are so beautiful and symmetrical and well maintained. This is the place where St. Thomas, the disciple of Christ Jesus was supposed to have been laid to rest. The church has been the focus, of progressive architectural renovation through the years, and the results are here to see.
