THE KOODARAM CHURCH

If you ever get a chance to drive down from Tiruvalla through Pathanamthatta in Kerala, you will never miss this church. It is an miracle of architecture, so well made and pristine.

I believe its a miracle because not many things happen in a construction, because the builder planned it that way....when u see the altar above..the light shines through..its gives a holy presence...besides natural lights beaming in are well managed...there is a very optimum usage of wood and tiles very much with the tradition of Kerala...and though the tiles have aged...there is a beauty in the fading too.

SILHOUETTE - THE PAMPA

I had been to this place 12 years back and I got the opportunity again last month. It was nostalgic.

This was a favourite spot for me and my cousins to play around in Kerala. We would watch the fishermen on their boats, boats gathering sea sand, cranes looking out for stealing the fishermen's catch, urchins diving into the river just appearing from nowhere. Today we all have got into jobs, fast lives and fast cars. But faraway from nature and its silent beauty.

We had little money then, but lots of time to hang around in pristine spaces like these.
